Ekta Kapoor annoyed with makers of 'Drishyam'
After shattering all box office records in Malayalam cinema history, "Drishyam" Malayalam movie is again in news and this time because of Indian Television queen and Bollywood producer Ekta Kapoor, who is reportedly miffed with makers of "Drishyam" and initiated legal proceedings with a notice against film makers. The reason being quoted here that film is based on a Japanese novel and its film making rights have been owned by her.

This issue had been previously reported in media when this movie went on
to set the cash registers on fire at Kerala box office. Ekta's production house Balaji Telefilms and its subsidiary Balaji Motion Pictures had earlier bought rights of Japanese book "The devotion of suspect X" authored by Keigo Higashino. However people behind "Drishyam" movie, have reportedly negate the reports regarding this issue.

Ekta and her production team have recently get on time to watch this Malayalam film, where they find similar sequences of book, were adapted in the movie. Now production house insisting that book had been made into the movie without any prior information to them. Mohanlal and Jeethu Joseph together went on to rewrite all collection records ever for Malayalam films.

Malayalam version has already been remade in Telugu (Venkatesh, Meena,), Kannada and its Tamil version is proposed to begin with Kamal Haasan in the lead role, while director Jeethu Joseph and cameraman Sujith Vaassudev, will do the same again in Tamil. This move from Ekta Kapoor has put on cloud of speculation over its Tamil remake.

The iron is hot, so does the remake rights and Ekta is eyeing Bollywood rights to be remain safe with her. On the other, if claims of book comes in favour of Ekta, then producer Antony Perumbavoor would have to pay hefty amount as settlement.

Well the queen has put on her hand on right deal..... !
