Ramanathapuram district, born in Paramakudi Ayangara family on 1954, November 7. Father - T.Sreenivasan and Mother - Rajalakshmi. Two Brothers, Charu Hassan and Chandra Hassan and a Sister Nalini. 
 T. Sreenivasan's close friend called "Hassan" was there. Father's friendship with his friend Hassan, made him to adapt "Hassan" with his children's name. From there on Kamalam became the "Kamal Hassan".




1960 : - 
 6 year old boy become child artiste, movie was "Kullathoor Kannamma". Gemini Ganeshan and Savithri was his first screen father and mother. He learned Karate and Bharathnatyam in the childhood. Family Doctor Sara Ramachandran and A.V.M Studio owner Maypechediyaar bring this legend to the cinemascope.


1972 : -
 Kamal Hassan gets promotion as co actor in the movie "Mannavan". All time favorite director of Tamil industry, K.Balachander's movie "Naan Avaniley" gave Kamal Hassan a chance to catch the attention of the audience as co star.


1974 : - 
 Malayalam gave him the opportunity to become the lead actor with K S Sethumadhavan's directorial "Kanyakumari" movie. That time's dance master was Thankappan. Kamal Hassan memorized this dance master with the song sung by him called "Thankupallunku Manimaala" from the movie "Kanyakumari".

 movie's permanent hero in Malayalam cinema - "Vishnu Vijayam" with Sheelamma. "Madanotsavam" with Zareena Wahab. "Rasleela" with Sridevi. He made his come back to the Tamil cinema with K Balachander's directorial movie "Apoorvaragam" with the character, who loves the lady older than him. There after he never look back, he acted in Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu movies during this period.


1981 : - 
 Movie "Rajaparva" made him the producer. "Ek Duje Ke Liye" lands him in Hindi Cinema. Whether it is reel or real life, He made many experiments and stills doing that. Script writer, choreographer, singer, instead Kamal became the mesmerizing attraction in the Indian Cinema.

 Cinema was getting in choas, then this Hassan done a art movie "Pushpaka Vimanam". While other hero's doing their male dominated characters, Kamal experimented with the female role in "Avai Shanmukhi" (Chachi 420 in Hindi). 

 Born as a Tamilian, but grown up in Malayalam. "Ponni", "Satyavan Savithri", "Vayanadan Thamban", "Vratham", include his many movies in Malayalam. Kamal Hassan had appeared in "Chankyan" with Jayaram as co-star after a while. In recent time, he played cameo in Saji Surendran directed movie "4 friends".

AWARDS :

 Three time National best actor award winner, bagged his first for the movie "Munaam Pirrai", then "Nayakan" and last award for the movie "Indian". Time Magazine voted Kamal's movie "Nayakan" as one of the best. 

 Like everybody says, Kamal never acted in his real life. M L Vasantha Kumari's daughter Sreevidya was said to be his love interest, when this Hassan was young. They even prepared to get married, but later something went wrong in the relation between them. (rumours are also that Malayalam movie "Thirakatha", which was based on this relation)

1978 : 
Time for the Marriage, Vani Ganapathy is the bride. Actress and dancer Vani stopped her passion for dance and acting after the marriage, they had no kids in this relation.

 Later Kamal camped with the actress Sarika, Two babies born. Sarika leave the acting field. Now he bored with that relation also and find his companion in Gauthami. 

 Kerala government  also bestowed  Kamal Hassan for his excellence in the Malayalam and Indian Cinema. Well "Thoongaa Vanam" is in theatres to conquer the cinema world.
