Malayalam cinema has lost another musician and the legend music composer K Raghavan Master is now no more with us. Raghavan mash breathed his last on early Saturday at a Private hospital in Kannur. He was 99 and on Friday he was admitted to the hospital for breathing problems. The family had plans to organise a program on his 100th birthday, which falls on December 2. Recently Raghavan mash had composed the songs of Mammootty starring movie "Balyakalasakhi".

set the new trends in Malayalam cinema for four decades. M Krishnan and Narayani's son K Raghavan began his journey of music composer with the movie "Pullimaan" in 1951. After the movie "Neelakuyil" in 1954, Raghavan Master went on to bring the Malayalam songs classic era. His compositions with P Bhaskaran mash was a notable one and both together gathers the golden years for Malayalam cinema. Raghavan mash himself started as a singer, but later on gave many opportunities to new singers, which include singers like Udayabhanu and Brahmanandan.

 Veteran music composer Raghavan Master was honoured with Padmasri Award in 2010 and most prestigious J C Daniel award in 1997. He also bagged the two Kerala state awards. Over 60 Malayalam films and around 400 Malayalam songs include the career of this legend. To name a few "Kallichellamma", "Nirmalyam", "Ramanan", "Unniyarcha", "Utharayanam" are his classic movies which get the golden touch.
