Venu Nagavally Malayalam filmmaker and actor
Writer and front runner, who knows the art love of the audience, Nagavally R.S.Kurup and Rajamma's Son Venugopal became Venu Nagavally to the cinema lovers across Kerala. Born on April 16, 1949 in Ramankary, Alappuzha.

Trivandrum model school and University college include Venu Nagavalli's destination of Education. He began his professional life as announcer in All India Radio, through that to Cinema. 

As per then Padmarajan's request cameraman Balu Mahendra introduced Venu Nagavally to the director K.G.George, through that he get his break into the cinema scope, first became the actor after that a director.


 Novelist George Onnakur's 'Ullkadal' novel adapted in the movie directed by K.G.George found Venu Nagavalli his favorite for the movie, he became the hero in which acting definition rewritten as melancholy, that era's lot of romantic movies named to his career. In the movie "Shalini Enthe Kuttukari", He paired up with Urvashi and Shobhana, which spotted him to the attraction of the masses. "Yavanika", "Chillu", "Omanathingal","Lekhayude Maranam Oru Flashback", "Meenamasathile Sooryan", "Arante Mulla Kochumulla", "Adaaminte Variyellu", "Devdas", "Vartha" all these movies have catch the eyes of  audiences.


 Venu Nagavally's actor image spanned through 1980 to 1998, Superhit movie "Sukhamo Devi" made him the director in 1985. Besides that 12 movies he had directed include "Sarvakalashala", "Ayitham", "Lal Salaam", "Aye Auto", "Ayirapara", "Agnidevan", "Raktha Sakshikal Zindabad", all were became a hit with Mohanlal in the lead to the most of these movies. Venu Nagavalli scripted movie "Killukam" prove that he can handle the humor, better than anyone else. His last directorial movie was "Bharya Swantham Suhurth" in 2009. He was survived by wife Meera and son Vivek.

 Script writer, actor and director as we get to know about his another face of singer, Hockey player and Mimicry artist, few people know that he had sing a song in the movie "Chottanikaramma". He acted as a part timer in the Marryland movie "Bhaktha Kujela" and Story works of Prem Nazir starrer movie "Ee Ganam Markumo", before became the dedicated artist of the Malayalam cinema with the movie "Ulkkadal". Venu Nagavally left the Malayalam cinema on 9th September 2010 to the heaven with the tears in eyes of his fans and well wishers.

Venu Nagavally had scripted one of the finest movies in the Malayalam cinema to his name "Killukam", others were Sukhamo Devi, Sarvakalshala, Artham, Aye Auto, Kizhakunrum Pakshi, Kallipatam, Ayirapara, Vishnu, Bharya Swantham Suhurthu.
