Actress Sujatha left us with tears...........

Malayalee, famous actress of South Indian Industry, Sujatha is no more with us.Sujatha passed away on 6th April, due to Cardiac arrest. She was 58 years of age and survived by husband Jaykar and Children Divya and Sajeeth.


                   P.N.Menon's "Ollavum Theeravum" in 1970 gave her strong presence in Tamil Cinema. Sujatha had done about three hundred movies in different languages. Kochi Marad Munsifa Matham's Shankarankutty Menon's daughter Sujatha was born and brought up in Srilanka. Her father was a teacher in Srilanka. Their family came back to kerala around last of 60's, which gave Sujatha first break with the movie "Tapasivini" in 1971 directed by M.Krishnan Nair. Later on movies like "Avarkal", "Vidhee", "KadalMeenkal", "Annakeeli", "Alaydeepam" gave Sujatha the status of natural actress.


                          Sujatha had done movies with greats like Shivaji Ganeshan, Rajnikanth, Kamal Hassan and Lastly she had acted in roles of Mother. In Malayalam, Her song "Orikkilmatram Veelikelkumo" from the movie "Driksakshi" with the hero K.P.Ummar, "Achaniyile Mallikabanan Thante Veeleduthu" with Sudheer create magic among cinema lovers of that era, "Oru Veelipadakale", "Bhrasht" was her movies. Recently she had acted in movies like "Chandrolsavam", "Jalolsavam", "Mayookham". Sujatha was bestowed with Kalaimamani Award by Tamil Nadu Government.
