After making her entrance in malayalam cinema with the movie "Time" with Suresh Gopi, Vimala get noticeable in the malayalam movie "Pranayakalam" with Ajmal. Later on she came up with Mammootty, Dileep and Mohanlal in few films. Her last movie in the malayalam cinema was "Apoorva" and now Vimala is concentrating more on Telugu movies and her upcoming malayalam movie "Dam 999" is under production.
