Review : "Snehaveedu".
If you haven't seen your star Mohanlal in the village transformation, then you can count on Satyan Anthikad directed latest malayalam movie "Snehaveedu". Whole and whole simple story with the nice touch as you can expect from any Satyan Antikad directed malayalam movie. Watch it for the Mohanlal's comic effort which is well weaved with the movie.
Allright, lets get deeper with the story, Ajayan, enacted by Mohanlal has done jobs in Gulf and in Chennai as well, before making to his roots and his village in Pallakad, where his mother Ammukkutty performed by Sheela, resides. As story moves new characters take place with the interesting points like Mathai by Innocent and Reethamma by KPAC Lalitha, whose daughter Lilly settled by Lena, eloped with the Sub Inspector Balan summarised by Biju Menon. There also a girl called Sunanda performed by Padmapriya, who is working for a soap manufacturing factory. Ajayan now settled in his village and earns his living with the farming.
Movie turn to the twist with the entrance of character Karthik enacted by Rahul Pillai, hails from chennai and claims to be the son of Ajayan, which starts the problems for Ajayan. Karthik soon got mingled with the Ammukkutty, but Ajayan want to prove that Karthik is not his son. The effect of this incidence on Ajayan and how he handle this issue is the plot of this malayalam movie's climax.
Mohanlal done the best with the Sheela as Mother in the emotional scenes, Mamukoya, Chembil Ashokan, Urmila Unni, Arundhati, Shashi Kallinga and others include the cast. Songs are nice from the hands of Rafeeque Ahamed and Illayaraja. Cinematography is nice by Venu and Editing by K.Rajagopal. For the banner of Aashirvad Cinemas, Antony Perumbavoor produced this malayalam movie "Snehaveedu".
