2012 - Wonderful year for Malayalam Cinema...

As you know, its the first day of the new year, so we gave a thought to rewind some memories of 2012, with around 130 films, Malayalam Cinema celebrate the year with some good experiments, changes that put on the rocket effect on the Box Office Collection. With brilliant passion to enchant the name of the movies, every body gets something new with the new arrival in 2012...

 With the commencement of Lal Jose's "Spanish Masala" and Mohanlal's "Casanovva" in January, where the later one doesn't get the expected return, while Dileep starrer "Spanish Masala" was a engaging one. February marks the remarkable change that wholly changed the scenario with the arrival of Star son Dulquer Salmaan in "Second Show" and Rajesh Pillai's "Ee Adutha Kaalathu", Sidharth Bharathan's "Nidra", all add the flavour to the month with their narration pattern.

 March gave the biggest trend with collection record of Sugeeth directed "Ordinary" and with some expected films like "The King and The Commissioner", "Masters" doesn't taste the water. Premlal's "Outsider" chirped in with the critics. April month turns out the high hopes for the producers and Dileep, who became the highest paid actor
with the buzz of "Mayamohini", while not expected with Aashiq Abu's trend "22FK" gains the rave reviews from the critics. "Cobra" also leaps the budget of its making with some points.

 Now to the May, where Unnikrishnan B. and Mohanlal delivered a hit with "Grandmaster" and on the other hand Lal Jose's "Diamond Necklace" and Vaisakh's "Mallu Singh" count on their merits in the Box Office. Prithviraj gets the average reaction from the crowd with the voice in "Manjadikuru" and with the flop show in "Hero". With the arrival of June month, Ranjith came up with socially relevant strike film "Spirit" and Dulquer Salmaan again count on his image and Anwar Rasheed inaugurates the "Usthad Hotel" in grand style. Amal Neerad directed "Bachelor Party" and M.A.Nishad's "No.66 Madhura Bus" fails to the convince the audience.

 Movie of the year "Thattathin Marayathu" came in this month of July, galore wide appreciation with its song and presentation style, which gave a new heights to the career of emerging star Nivin Pauly. Vineeth Sreenivasan bask in the glory of success with this one movie. Dr.Biju's "Aakashathinte Niram" develop some new approach where the characters doesn't have a name and P.Balachandran's "Ivan Megharoopan" cheers up with some good performances. August stole the Onam and Eid release with good films like "Friday" and "Thappana", while Mohanlal and Joshy teams "Run Babby Run" turns out the hit of the season. Director Shaji Kailas doesn't get the suitable result despite of casting Prithviraj in the lead role in "Simhasanam".

 September rains some marvelous film experiences with "Ozhimuri", "Ithra Mathram", "Molly Aunty Rocks" and "Puthiya Theerangal", where "Trivandrum Lodge" irks the audience with its content, but have the last laugh as a successful film. UTV Motion Pictures "Husbands in Goa" didn't get the expected outcome. October showcased some finely executed movies like K.Madhu's "Banking Hours", Lal Jose's "Ayalum Njanum Thammil" and Anoop Kannan's "Jawan of Vellimala", otherwise this month also witness the four release in a day as well.

 Celebration time is on with the commencement of Deepawali festival, Dileep and East Coast Vijayan teams "My Boss" gains the popularity with comic sequence and cash the success on collection records. Dulquer Salmaan's third film of the year "Theevram" doesn't excite the masses, where Santhosh Sauparnika came up with altogether a different subject in "Ardhanaari". "101 Weddings", "Chettayees", "Poppins" pretends to stand different in the league. First week of December, again was the four release in a day, in which Sunil Ibrahim's "Chapters" turns a watchable one. Second week of December release was Aneesh Upasana's "Matinee" which get some good response from the reviewers and one of the songs get the maximum views on the online platform. Coming to the end of the year and celebrating Christmas, Malayalam viewers gets their excitement increased by four times, as there were four big releases which include Ranjith produced and Mammootty starrer "Bavuttiyude Namathil", Mohanlal and Major Ravi combo's "Karmayodha", most adorable director of youngsters Aashiq Abu dropped in with "Da Thadiya" and B.Unnikrishnan's "I Love Me", makes this year 2012 a enjoyable one for the Malayalam Cinema lovers.

 Recall to the previous year, Malayalam Cinema also witness some great loss with the deaths of Jose Prakash, Navodaya Appachan, T.Damodaran, Bombay Ravi, Taruni Sachdev, Gavin Packard, Thilakan, T.A.Shahid, Jagannathan, P.K.Venukuttan Nair, Director Sasimohan, who contributed their life for the wellness of Malayalam Cinema.
