KPAC to get revive in Kamal's "Nadan"

Director Kamal's next is 'Nadan'
Old memories of stage drama will get the new life and this time director Kamal would track down the roots of Kerala's historic stage plays and artistes. After displaying the life of J C Daniel, who is considered as the father of Malayalam cinema on the silver screen, director has turned his eyes on the rich cultural theater era in the history of Kerala's art.

 The film has been titled as "Nadan" and the movie will feature the foundation of theaters in Kerala and traverse through the great troupe KPAC
, which played the prominent role in the development of Kerala's theater movement. The film also bring the greats of that time include Ochira Velukutty, who was known for his female roles in the plays. P J Antony was also the renowned name in the Malayalam theater field, who had founded the Prathibha Theaters. Two of the great plays "Ningalenne Communistakki" and "Mudiyanaaya Puthran" will be accounted here for the special touch.

 Kamal's "Nadan" will have Jayaram in the lead character, who portrays the character of an owner of a troupe, which was managed by his father and grandfather. Both Kamal and Jayaram has together gave many hits like "Shubhayathra", "Krishnagudiyil Oru Pranayakalathu", "Thooval Sparsham" and "Peruvannapurathe Visheshangal" and their last outing was "Swapna Sanchari". S Suresh Babu will do the scripting for "Nadan" and the film is expected to go on the floor by July this year.

 The director has been in news for his last movie "Celluloid", which attracted the many controversies and even the greats like Adoor Gopalakrishnan had made a statement on the issue. However the film went on to the success and won the best film award of Kerala state. If everything goes well, Kamal's next "Nadan" will be an another treat for the lovers of Malayalam cinema.
