Review : "Hotel California"

Another blend of adult version from the duo of Anoop Menon and Jayasurya, "Hotel California" this time targets the particular audience section with its comedy. There is no point of thinking about the story in this multi linear format, Anoop Menon does experiment in his writing skills by going par exception. Aji John provide the good pace and make sure that every character could get the accommodation in "Hotel California". If you are won't looking for a fable one..., then go for this HC...

The story relates around the people, who are on board in the Pushpak flight to reach Kochi from Mumbai. Now meet the people, Tarun Singh (Saiju Kurup), who's politician father has been convicted in the scam, is going to meet his girlfriend. Tarun Singh's look-alike
Rafeeq Ahamed is also on the flight with the pirated copy of an upcoming film "Hotel California" starring Bollywood star Prem Sagar (Anoop Menon). Another one is actor Prem Sagar's personal body guard Roshan (Krishna), whose job has to transmit actor's sperm to a woman, who wants to get pregnant without the help of any man. The passenger also includes the flirtatious businessman Aby Mathew (Shankar), who's in deal to meet a Television actress Swapna Joseph (Honey Rose). These all are about to land their destination Kochi with their purposes.

On airport, already the people are waiting for their purposes to be settled, especially Airport Jimmy (Jayasurya), who's waiting for the pirated copy of the film. Now the unexpected twist and confusion prevails in the mind of travelers and others through the arrival of this pirated copy, which leads to the unwelcome situation in front of them and there on the film move to the rest of this mad story.

Anoop Menon scripted this movie with an undulating mass of comedy, and adulation is there in his scripting work, but must be appreciated for his thinking to go beyond the limit. Director Aji John came up with the nice patch up work after his last movie, where this film which get the 'A' certificate, won't disappoint you in terms of narration. Cinematographer Jithu Damodar's elegant touch to the scenes that create the flavour of season. Editing too works well with the hands of Xian.

Jayasurya again get the most of the duo and done his part exceptionally well, while others like Saiju Kurup and Joju George done the attractive and catchy character. Anoop Menon hasn't got too much himself in the characterization. Honey Rose, Nandu, P Balachandran, Sukumari,  Babu Namboothiree, Shankar, Maria Roy, Aparna Nair, Thesni Khan and others have given their ample support to the characters. BGM and Music score is good with the hands of Shaan Rahman. For the banner of Jairaj Films, Josemon Simon is the producer of this Malayalam movie "Hotel California".

"Vikramadithyan" Malayalam movie review

Vikramadithyan Malayalam movie review
Well the trip is on the way and director's latest "Vikramadithyan" Malayalam movie tries to explore more of real entertainer. Iqbal Kuttippuram's script was a bit lifeless, however Lal Jose steers the ship with so many years of his experience to reduce the flaws. The film doesn't hold any quintessential effect that one can expect from director's stature. Entertaining stuff is surely there and on that aspect it won't disappoint you......

The story here is of two friends Vikram (Unni Mukundan) and Adithya (Dulquer Salmaan).
