In the film Mammooty carries food packets for the ailing patients at the nearby hospital every noon.

Maya Bazaar has been released only in B and C class theatres because of the controversy in the Malayalam film industry that started when kerala film producers association decided to exhibit new releases in maximum centres in the first week itself but the film exhibitors association had opposed the move.
