Homage to actress Santha Devi.....

mollywoodframes.com pay its homage to the veteran actress Santha Devi, popularly known as Kozhikode Santha Devi.

 She passed away on November 20, 2010 due to kidney failure. Born on 1927 in Kozhikode. She performed at many stages in the drama, where she made her debut in to the Malayalam Cinema.


 Santha Devi's first movie in Malayalam was "Minnaminunga" in 1957 directed by
Ramu Karyat. 

 She acted in about 450 movies, which include National Award for Best Supporting actress in "Yamanam" directed by Bharath Gopi in 1992. 

 Life time achievement award of Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Akademi bestowed upon her in 2005. 

 Santha Devi was 85, when she died and was stayed in old age home due to her poor health.

 Today (Nov.20) it past 4 years for her memories.......
