Review : "Venicile Vyapari".

"Venicile Vyapari" hits the screen across kerala last week, it's been on the good side to hear that movie has basic depth to find out more interesting mystery. "Venicile Vyapari" has its own charm with the hands of director Shafi and Script also is on the better side with the touch of James Albert. We recommend to watch out the performance of Mammookka in this malayalam film.

Pavithran performed by Mammootty, a constable with Alappuzha police station and he get the chance to solve out the murder case of coir worker Ajayan enacted by Biju Menon. As there were some landlords, who try to create problems for the every police man land their to investigate this murder mystery. As Pavithran lands to solve the case, He presented himself as a coir merchant among the people. In this new coir business, Pavithran made some money making decisions, which turn him a rich man. In this span of coir business, Pavithran quits the job of Police constable.

In this venice, it has some love bond as well, Ammu summarised by Kavya Madhavan, is also a sister of murdered coir worker Ajayan, gets to the love interest of Pavithran. On the other side, there is a local bank manager Lakshmi enacted by Poonam Bajwa also came in contact with the Pavithran. "Venicile Vyapari" turns to some twist with the first half, but by reaching to climax it has some drops. Definitely story travels through the era of 80's, in which Director Shafi justified to the era with his capability.

Apart from the above cast, Jagathy Sreekumar, Janardhanan, Salim Kumar, Suraaj Venjharamoodu, Vijay Raghavan, Suresh Krishna, Sreeraman, Kalabhavan Shajohn and others done their better to made this movie a best one. Shamdat's cinematography is on the better scene and Editing by Manoj also on the good extent. Songs also are fine from the pockets of Bijibal and Kaithapram, in which yester year movie "Angadi's" song "Kannum Kannum" is remixed. S.B.Sateesh's costume and Pattanam Rasheed's Make Up gave a nice touch of eighties look to the to the film and Mammootty in the Khakhi trouser looks makes gentle.

For the banner of Mural Films, Madhavan Nair produced this malayalam movie "Venicile Vyapari" brought among the audiences by Murali Films. It appears to be James Albert's first script for the star Mammootty and Shafi's fourth movie the actor.

If you have watched this malayalam film "Venicile Vyapari", liked it or not, just share your thoughts with us through comments.

  1. The story based on the location of Alapuzha which is the predominance cluster of the Coir industry, and the story board which has coir industry as its main theme, has similarity with Alapuzha which is known as Venice of the East. It has no comparison either in content, characterization or substance with the famous Shakespearean play, the Merchant of Venice. It is said that the story of the 1980 Alapuzha when the Coir industry was at its peak is what the story is about. The story writers have poor knowledge of history, as 1980 was not the landmark year in which Coir industry had a sunrise growth. It was in its infancy then.Co-operative movement was gaining ground not in the 1980s, but much before, thanks to the Left government providing jobs to many through the Co-operative movement. The initial success of the Co-op movement in the Coir industry was responsible for Govt of India giving importance to co-operative movement in India. Of course in 1980, there were handful of owners, who ventured into the coir industry. The story could have been made more con formative to the Coir industry and the workers struggle.
