Review : "Poppins"

Lack of strong characteristics in the script, may be the reason that malayalam movie "Poppins" not came up to the expectations. "Poppins" could be made more vibrant with its brilliant narration pattern, somehow Director V.K.Prakash's execution troubles around the confusion, which may not be liked by the viewers. Here malayalam movie "Poppins" gets a thumbs down from us.......

"Poppins" speaks out the six different stories from the view point of a government employee Hari (Shankar Ramakrishnan), who wants to achieve something big in film making. He has a wife Gauri (Mythili), supports him in every stage of his life. To make his dreams true, Hari takes
one year leave from his government job and meet producers to make his dream movie. Now we travel through the six different stories from the narration of Hari.

We came across Kanthan (Indrajith) and Kantha (Padmapriya), where you feel like messed up in the situation, Rain is the problem for them. there a time, when Kanthan refuse to move from his bed, while there were a heavy flood, which you feel like love to forget. Here we have another story of an actor (Siddique) and a Journalist (Ann Augustine), which gives some respite from the jaded script, Journalist ask three questions from the actor, who seems to be a drunkard and at last Journalist feel happy with the way interview held.

Other stories include of newly married couples played by Kunchako Boban and Nithya Menen, where wife gave Payasam to her husband for the whole day, because of her husbands favourite is Payasam. Light humour throws some moments for the crowd. On the other stories consist of two old age couples enacted by Balachandran and Sreelatha, next one is of two childrens and then last one story is of a Tamil couples (Jayasurya and Meghnaraj). After whole of this, you came to know that its about end of the film....

Logic behind this stories seems to be the missing point, It gives a feeling of a undeveloped plots combines together to a unknown ends. Some good moments which we have to mention is of Siddique and Ann Augustine, where Siddique showcased his best of the rest. "Payasam" edition looks funny at times and may be the factor to save the occasion. Jayasurya, Indrajith, Kunchako Boban, Padmapriya, Nithya Menen, Shankar Ramakrishnan, Mythili, Ann Augustine and others just made their parts usually.

V.K.Prakash's execution goes wrong with the plots, where its look like no interconnection between the subjects and stories are pushed purposely to get more charm to the proceedings. Mahesh Narayanan's editing miss the cuts where it needed, Visuals from Jomon T.John, Pradeesh M.Varma, Arun and James are on the finer side. Songs are enjoyable with the film, otherwise not worth. Ratheesh Vegha composed the songs with the lyrics of Rafeeq Ahamed. For the banner of Dimac Creations, Darshan Ravi is the producer of this malayalam movie "Poppins".

"Vikramadithyan" Malayalam movie review

Vikramadithyan Malayalam movie review
Well the trip is on the way and director's latest "Vikramadithyan" Malayalam movie tries to explore more of real entertainer. Iqbal Kuttippuram's script was a bit lifeless, however Lal Jose steers the ship with so many years of his experience to reduce the flaws. The film doesn't hold any quintessential effect that one can expect from director's stature. Entertaining stuff is surely there and on that aspect it won't disappoint you......

The story here is of two friends Vikram (Unni Mukundan) and Adithya (Dulquer Salmaan).
