Allegations are baseless : Anjali Menon

Anjali Menon defends herself
With the ongoing controversy on the film "Celluloid", now things not going well with another Kerala state award winning movie that is "Manjadikuru". It has been reported that the film "Manjadikuru" censor certificate was issued way back in 2007 and it also screened at the International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK).

On this issue, Director and Scriptwriter Anjali Menon totally rejected the allegations put on by Gen.Secretary of Film Chamber Anil Thomas. She said that 'As when the movie started it had National Film
Development Corporation, Mirchi Movies and Little Films as the producers, but NFDC wants the film to be censored before its completion. As print wasn't ready, so the board haven't issued the certificate. Later on differences with NFDC, led us to pay back their amount for this film'.

Mirchi Movies also pull out of the production, from there on we take on the production under the banner of Little Films to release the movie in 2012. When it goes for the censor certificate, board issued the same as revised, but later on when we provided the details about the facts, Board removed the issue of revised and gave us the new certificate, said Anjali Menon.

"Manjadikuru" has been produced and directed by Anjali Menon, who recently won the best scriptwriter award of the Kerala State.
