Review : "Black Butterfly"

Producer M.Renjith's maiden directorial venture "Black Butterfly" flies on a specific position to protect itself, but this film has absence of exuberance that had in its Tamil Version "Vazhakku Enn 18/9". Its better not to compare both the version, M.Renjith directed malayalam film "Black Butterfly" looks more of a eccentric and verdict is one time watch.....

Past events started to roll down, when police calls up Benny (Midhun Murali) for the interrogation in the case of attempt to murder the girl Reena (Malavika), who works as housemaid in a flat. Benny is living a lone life after his parents demise and fall in love with Reena, meanwhile he never told her about his emotions.

In the same form, Police suspects the plus two students Athira (Samskruthy Shenoy) and Deepak (Niranj Sudheer), here we get to know that Deepak is in love with Athira and their mischievous act led many peoples to the troubled state, which takes you to the climax of this story.

As it is a remake, so director M.Renjith and writer J.Pallassery infused the same but in a less convincing manner, as well as performances from the main actors Midhun Murali, Malavika Sai, Niranjan, Samskruthy Shenoy and others just have gave their average to the characters. Somewhere you would feel that it could be revived to a good one.

On the technical side, it scores the nice point with the visuals are handled by Allagappan, while editing is done by V.Saajan. Background Music is done by Gopi Sundar, Art Director is Gokul Das. For the banner of Maniyan Pilla Productions, Maniyan Pilla Raju is the producer of this malayalam movie "Black Butterfly" which has been distributed through Vaishakha Cynyma.
