Review : "Rebecca Uthup Kizhakkemala"

Sports based movie is a good attempt, but the dedication needed for the sportsman spirit is missing here in the movie "Rebecca Uthup Kizhakkemala", rather than it looks more of ignoble attempt towards a sports related film. At the end, we could say that crew lost their race to the Kizhakkemala.....

The movie talks about the life of an athlete named Rebecca Uthup (Ann Augustine), who has succeeded in getting gold medal in Asian Games and now all eyes on her for the Olympic Gold Medal. Rebecca's father Uthup (Sai Kumar) works as a helper at his wife's property. Rebecca's mother (Shari) and Uthup ran away secretly just before a day, when her engagement proposed. Obviously this activity irks few people in the community, but after the laurel favoured to Rebecca, both the family decides to end the feud between them.

Here both the family decide Rebecca to get married to Kuruvilla (Jishnu Raghavan), who hails from their relatives. On the other hand Rebecca needs strong training for the Olympic Medal, there came the platform for his coach Arjun (Siddharth Bharathan), who also be her school friend. Another addition of lovers to her life is her neighbour, now all three tries to make their place in the heart of Rebecca. In this way some revenge and Rebecca's practice forms the rest of the plot.

Director Sundar das hasn't managed the scenes perfectly that would give an unclear perception about the film. V.C.Ashok's script also a letdown with some tedious dialogues. Cinematography looks good from the hands of Jibu Jacob, while editing demands the more accuracy at certain level by Bijith Bala.

Ann Augustine is again in the lead, but this time you would feel the lack of zeal. Sai Kumar, Jishnu Raghavan, Siddharth Bharathan and Shari gave their best support to the characters, while Kalabhavan Mani, Suraaj Venjharamoodu, Augustine, Shalin and others have just at the satisfactory level. Songs has been treated in conceited manner with the use of one of the old song "Kizhakkemaleyile Vennilaavoru", which is being composed by Ratheesh Vegha. For the banner of Upadhyaya Movie Crafts, Venkatesh S Upadhyaya is the producer of this malayalam movie "Rebecca Uthup Kizhakkemala".

"Vikramadithyan" Malayalam movie review

Vikramadithyan Malayalam movie review
Well the trip is on the way and director's latest "Vikramadithyan" Malayalam movie tries to explore more of real entertainer. Iqbal Kuttippuram's script was a bit lifeless, however Lal Jose steers the ship with so many years of his experience to reduce the flaws. The film doesn't hold any quintessential effect that one can expect from director's stature. Entertaining stuff is surely there and on that aspect it won't disappoint you......

The story here is of two friends Vikram (Unni Mukundan) and Adithya (Dulquer Salmaan).
