Dakshinamoorthy swamy no more
One of the soul of Malayalam cinema and music legend V Dakshinamoorthy passed away at his Mylapore residence today (August 2). He was 94 and his cremation will took place on tomorrow at Chennai. He was regarded as one of the experts of carnatic music. He was suffering from old age health problems and on today, he breathed his last.

 Dakshinamoorthy swamy is well known for his combination
with lyrics of Sreekumaran Thampi in the Malayalam cinema music world. He had also tuned for many other languages as well. Born on 1919 in Alappuzha's Mullackel Thekke Mattathil. Venkitesh Iyer and Parvathy Ammal's son Dakshinamoorthy had begun his journey of musician at the age of 13 by performing as assistant of classical musician Venkitachalam Potty and the venue was ShriKrishna Ambalappuzha Kshetram. Swamy's life turn to cinema after one of his meeting with Udaya Studio's Kunchako.

 Swamy started his career with Malayalam movie "Nalla Thanka" which was produced by K and K Productions banner. After this musical journey went on to above 1000 films, which include "Kavyamela", "Seetha", "Villakyu Vangiya Veena", "Idanazhiyil Oru Kalocha" and on the other, He had acted in the movies like "Ashadeepam" and "Chandrolsavam". "Mizhikal Sakshi" released on 2008, was his last film as Music director.

 Augustin Joseph, K J Yesudas and Vijay Yesudas, all these personalities from three generations have sang the song for this legend classical composer.
