Hakim Rawther no more

Malayalam actor Hakim Rawther breathed his last on Sept.5 at Kottayam Medical College Hospital. He was 58 and had worked in many Malayalam films. He was undergoing the treatment at Government Medical College for breathing problems. Hakim Rawther had directed a movie "The Guard" with Kalabhavan Mani, which is said to be world's only movie with single actor on silver screen.

 Hakim had entered the Malayalam cinema with his experience in Mimicry and with his early stint in Cochin Kalabhavan earn him a place in Malayalam movies. Hakim had acted in many Malayalam films of director Jayaraj and well known for his supporting characters. His movies include "Johnnie Walker", "Mookkillarajyathu", "Paithrukam", "Manthramothiram", "Thilakkam", "Vettam", "Kazhcha", "Rasikan", "Orma Mathram", "Naayika" and others.

 Devi Menon is his wife, who is a Ghazal singer and composer.
