Mohanlal and Amrita TV struck satellite rights deal !

According to hearsay, Malayalam entertainment television channel Amrita TV have struck the deal with actor Mohanlal for satellite rights. If the reports are to be believed, from now actor's upcoming Malayalam movie's will be showcased exclusively on Amrita channel. If this is true, it will be first of its kind deal made by any actor in Mollywood.

 Speculations are also that tussle between
Mohanlal and management of leading Malayalam television channel (managed by Star India), has led the star to this agreement. This leading channel has bought satellite rights of Mohanlal starrer "Drishyam" and it will have its premiere on this years Onam festival. The actor was recently hospitalized in Amrita Hospital, Ernakulam and he is an admirer of Mata Amritanandmayi.

 Mohanlal would probably be the second person in Indian showbiz to do so, as before him Bollywood star Salman Khan had signed an agreement with Star India network for 5 years with an humongous amount of Rs. 450 crore.

 'Peruchazhi' is scheduled for Onam release on August 29th. It is a big budget flick, which will provide the flavour of America.
