Review : "Mathai Kuzhappakkaranalla"

'Mathai Kuzhappakkaranalla' movie review
Akku Akbar's latest directorial "Mathai Kuzhappakkaranalla" has nothing too much to gloat about. The same old worn out tactics to beguile the family audience, otherwise with this mediocre screenplay and direction, one can only expect a thoughtless entertainer. Performance wise it also lacks amiability and at last movie turns out a disappointing one....

Story happens around a man named Mathai (Jayasurya), who is an auto driver
and hails from Thrissur. He is pretty much interested to solve the problems of others, but things happen conversely to him. Mathai's fiance is Annamma (Bhama) a nurse, who tries to balance the relationship between them.

In the meantime, Mathai's encounter with Dr. Nandakumar (Mukesh) led him to get invitation in doctor's house. There he finds the issues between doctor and his wife Geetha (Lakshmi Gopalaswamy) and there begins the chaos with the entry of relatives of Geetha, which forms the rest of the part.

As there is nothing surprising to showcase, so there would be no uphill task for director Akku Akbar to put up this simple story line. The problem is the with subject and the script, both didn't get ample amount of support to sustain. Pradeep Nair's cinematography and Lijo Paul's editing were just made it to the occasion. Anand Madhusoodhanan's songs are audible.

Eventually there is a limit for actor as well, Jayasurya didn't seem to be in comfort zone. Bhama also did her usual and Mukesh was there with his comical timings. Sreejith Ravi succeeded to enliven his character. Lakshmi Gopalaswamy, Jayaraj Warrier, Sasi Kallinga, Kollam Thulasi and others have made it to their respective characters. For the banner of Anto Joseph Film Company, Anto Joseph is the producer of this film.
